Refugees Revisited: Author & Discussion
Monday May 1st, 10:30 AM - Noon
at The Peace Gallery
112 Main Street, Damariscotta ME
As debates around immigration continue, author/traveler Madeline Uraneck’s presentation about her three-decades long experience with a single refugee family gives a positive and inspiring look at long term results of family “adoption”, not only for the family in question but for the person and community doing the “adopting.”
In Maine, Madeline wishes to consult with sponsors to add a local individual with refugee background to the presentation, to bring to life successes and challenges when people add a new culture, career, and language to their life journey.
Our Purpose
